Hi folks, In this lesson you’re going to learn a very cool Bluesy Blues Lick. The blues lick is made up of the blues scale which consists of 6 notes ( 1 b3 4 b5 5 b7 ) compared to the major scale ( 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 ). The b5, also referred to as the ‘blue note’, and the b7 really stand out in this lick due to the hammer-ons on the double stops, which gives it that really bluesy sound.
The lick is fun to learn and great for intermediate guitar players. Beginners can also have a go at it and play it at a slower pace, which in blues music does often sound even better, so don’t hold back and get your hands dirty.
Enjoy and have a wonderful day!
