This guitar has a mahogany body with a carved maple top and a 24.75 inch scale length set-in mahogany neck. Loaded with 22 medium jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl block inlays the fretboard is made of “resinator”. Come again? According to Hagstrom, it’s a pressure-laminated wood composite material with a denser and more stable structure than standard woods.

The neck is a Slim D-profile and has Hagstrom’s lightweight, stable “H-Expander” truss rod system. The Swede LTD Black Dark King has a Tune-O-Matic bridge with a Hagstrom Sustain Block tailpiece, a GraphTech Black Tusq XL nut and a set of Hagstrom die cast precise tuners.
