Drummer’s Review
Organisers of The UK Drum Show are pleased to welcome Dexter Hercules for 2023. Dexter will be appearing in the Mike Dolbear Room in association with Pearl, Zildjian, Evans Heads and Vic Firth Sticks.
Dexter Hercules is a South London-based professional drummer and has been playing the drums from the age of 3 years old.
He has already achieved an impressive repertoire of artists in which he’s played for, including Ronnie Wood, Emeli Sande, Little Mix, Lalah Hathaway, Theo Croker, Incognito, Pixie Lott, Stormzy, Olly Murs, Rita Ora, Boy George, Ashanti, Derrick Hodge and many more. Dexter is currently the house band drummer for the hit TV show “The Voice of UK”.
Dexter’s success is driven by his dynamic playing style and by mastering countless genres including, Jazz, Pop, Gospel, Fusion, Broken Beat and Funk.
Not many drummers can cover everything from rocking the Chuck Berry catalogue with Ronnie Wood to grooving with Robert Glasper and Derrick Hodge at Ronnie Scott’s, but that’s testament to the versatility of Dexter Hercules.
Dexter will be appearing at 4.30pm Sunday 1st October in the Mike Dolbear room at The UK Drum Show.
