Drummer’s Review
Drumming For Pakistan: on Friday 7 October 2022, renowned UK drum teacher James Smale aims to raise as much money as possible to donate to The Amir Khan Foundation, a charity currently working in Pakistan to ensure critical support is delivered to victims of the recent devastating floods.
The event, being held at Carshalton Boys Sports College, will not only feature a solid 8 hours of non-stop drumming from James and his students, but also Samba marches around school, students and staff playing solo performances and a special hour-long concert featuring a live DJ plus live drums and percussion. Also, students and staff can have free taster drum lessons provided by guest drummer Sacha Trochet.
All funds raised will go to The Amir Khan Foundation, which aims to provide support to those most in need, at home & abroad. From the building of orphanages in Africa, to disaster relief following the 2015 floods in Cumbria, England, the foundation is firmly rooted in service to vulnerable communities. Having responded to global emergencies and facilitated developmental projects across the world, the foundation exists to support individuals, families & communities, offering relief & support during times of hardship, urgent need & upheaval.
