Kevin Hernandez, respected educator and drummer based in Boerne, TX, is the newest addition to the SONOR Drums Artist Roster. Over his 25-year professional career, Kevin has shared the stage with big-name artists and toured extensively across Texas and the southwest. His drumming has resonated with audiences of all sizes, from intimate club settings to crowds of 150,000 people.
Born and raised in Southern Louisiana, Kevin drew from the region’s rich musical heritage to craft a distinctive drumming style. Influenced by his father, also a musician, and immersed in a vibrant musical environment from an early age, Kevin has developed a unique approach that seamlessly blends emotion, rhythm, and passion. His craft has been further refined through studies with New Orleans legend Johnny Vidacovich and other esteemed musicians, including Herman Jackson, Todd Sucherman, Dave Elitch, and Daniel Glass. In addition to his performance career, Kevin conducts drum clinics and works within large congregation churches throughout central Texas.
